Finca Terrerito
Documentary Photography
I had the privilege of working alongside Finca Terrerito & Alma Coffee in creating photographic imagery for their coffee farm in Copán, Honduras. For two weeks, I followed along the farms’ happenings as the team prepared for harvest: photographing the people spearheading each aspect of the process, as well as documenting the details to thoroughly & visually tell the story of all that goes into harvest, processing, and exporting.
The work: 2 weeks spent at the farm, casually following along with the everyday rhythms with the goal of producing down to earth & authentic photography. Photos will be used to better tell the story of origin to roasters & customers across the globe.
This experience was a beautiful favorite of mine, and I especially loved the true documentary-style approach I was able to take with creating imagery. Getting to join in on the pace of the farm, learn of the expertise involved in each step, and capture it all organically as we went was such a gift.
Through so many layers of the farm, the clearest thing about Finca T is their emphasis on people. Whether it be the talented & robust team that are vibrantly passionate about their craft, their team “family” dinners, or their consistent care for their community & it’s members, Finca T is truly showing up for their people.
So many times I went to take a portrait and it was met with an eager joy - the team truly seemed to overflow with excitement about sharing their craft.
For brands and organizations who want to share their story authentically, one of my favorite offerings is storytelling photography at a documentary style pace - imagery that leaves space for spontaneity & the everyday beauty of your mission. Whether you’re based across the world or close to home, I’d love to help capture the story behind what you do.
A big thank you to the crew at Finca T for showing such hospitality and generosity in sharing their craft with me.
